Voice-Insight Announces
Voice Mobility Solutions Based on Oracle® Applications

Collaborate 08 – Oracle Applications User Group Conference –Voice-Insight, Inc., a leading provider of Speech Recognition solutions for mobile enterprise applications, today announced the availability of advanced voice interface solutions that leverage Oracle’s mobility platform for Oracle® Warehouse Management and Oracle Mobile Supply Chain Applications.

A member of the Oracle Partner Network, Voice-Insight will adapt its advanced voice interface technologies to create natural language, voice interaction capability across a range of Oracle mobile enterprise applications. 

The combination of Voice-Insight and Oracle products are addressing the issues that have limited the market acceptance of voice solutions in supply chain applications.  Though a proven method for increasing productivity and accuracy in material handling operations, conventional voice solutions have proven complex and costly to deploy and maintain, limiting their deployment potential. Through its universal voice interpreter solution for the Oracle Mobile Client running on multimodal, mobile devices, Voice Insight provides a breakthrough approach, suitable for low or variable volume situations and flexible work, with an unprecedented level of deployment simplicity and flexibility.  Additionally, the parties will offer solutions for higher transactional volume environments like order selection in small to large warehouses.

This solution benefits from the unique capabilities of Voice-Insight’s VQL software:  mobile device compatibility with Windows XP terminals and “voice-ready” Windows Mobile terminals (from Motorola, LXE, and others);  integrated voice control of data capture devices (barcode scanners, RFID readers, cameras, etc.) or output devices (label printers); Long range wireless headsets that allow the voice-terminal to be fixed in place or mounted on a vehicle to eliminate the need for the mobile RF terminal itself; and, speaker independent operation (no voice training required) with virtually unlimited vocabulary to support any work flow and process training dialog.

Oracle’s suite of warehousing and supply chain applications enable companies to maximize their utilization of labor, space and equipment investments by coordinating and optimizing resource usage and material flows across a global supply chain on a single platform.  The new voice solutions from Voice-Insight will initially address Oracle modules for inbound, outbound and reverse logistics and finished, raw and work-in-process materials for manufacturing.
